2 for $5 Spanish for " Holy Wood", is recognized by its strong notes of pine, Mint and lemon and is commonly used for its medicinal and energy-cleansing qualities. Similar to Sage and Cedar, Palo Santo is most widely used by Indigenous communities in South America for spiritual healing, purification and energy (house) cleansings. Once the wood sticks are burned, the smoke is believed to clear negative energy and restore tranquility and calm emotions.
- Light a Palo Santo stick with a candle, lighter, or match.
- Hold the stick downward at a 45-degree angle.
- Let the stick burn for 30 seconds.
- Blow out the flame. Place the stick in a heatproof dish to let it burn.
When using wood chips or powders, place them in a heatproof dish. Light them with a lighter or match, then blow them out after 30 seconds.
